Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić confirmed Wednesday that three Russian citizens were present at a camp near the western town of Loznica, where three weeks ago Serbian authorities arrested two people for allegedly training about 150 to 170 Moldovan and Romanian nationals how to interfere with Moldovan elections and incite unrest.

Vučić did not say whether Russian intelligence was involved.

Police seized laptops, mobile phones, a pistol, and a radio-frequency detection device during searches of the suspects’ homes. The arrested men face charges including organizing participation in foreign armed conflict, with one additionally charged with illegal possession of weapons and explosives.
